Katherine Bennett (She/Her)
Director of Educator Support

Katherine is an educational leader with experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and district-level director. She is deeply committed to strengthening early literacy, developing school leaders, and building instructional spaces where all students have access to rigorous, affirming learning experiences. She is also currently pursuing her EdD in Educational Leadership for Social Justice at the University of Hartford, where her research examines how teacher expectations in early elementary classrooms impact students.

At Modern Classrooms Project, Katherine leverages her experience coaching school leaders and designing large-scale professional development to help educators implement mastery-based, student-centered instruction with clarity and coherence. She supports partners in building sustainable systems that make rigorous, equitable learning accessible to every student.

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys watching the Yankees (and all sports), trying new restaurants, and a good book.
