Leigh Edmonson (She/Her)

Leigh Edmonson is an educator and instructional leader committed to promoting effective and equitable learning environments for students. She has served as a teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and curriculum implementation specialist.

Leigh began her career in education as a Teach For America corps member in Houston. She went on to teach in New Orleans and later in Durham, North Carolina, where she transitioned into instructional leadership roles focused on teacher development and school improvement. She later worked in curriculum implementation, partnering with educators to strengthen their use of high-quality math instructional materials.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University. Leigh lives in Durham with her partner and their dog, and she enjoys staying active and gardening.
