Math Curriculum Development Manager (Secondary)

Erica began her career in education as a special education teacher at a public middle school in Washington, DC. She later taught math and served as a math instructional coach, gaining a deep understanding of how to support both students and teachers. After seven years in schools, Erica began privately tutoring students during remote learning, which inspired her transition into the nonprofit sector. She joined a tutoring organization as a curriculum writer and later became the curriculum manager, where she focused on designing engaging, student-centered math materials. Erica believes that all students deserve access to high-quality instructional resources and is passionate about fostering a love of math for every learner.

Outside of work, Erica enjoys hiking, paddling, practicing yoga, baking sourdough, and reading in her hammock.
