Abigail Donovan (She/Her)
Senior Manager, Research and Development

Abi earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a master’s in instructional leadership before teaching at the collegiate level and later in high school STEM classrooms. She then served as an administrator, working as a 504 coordinator and testing coordinator with a focus on equitable instruction and ensuring every student was supported to succeed.

Her time in schools sparked a deep interest in the tools teachers rely on every day. That curiosity led her into edtech, where she led the development of AI enhancements for a flagship math product. Abi joined the Modern Classrooms Project in 2025 as Senior Manager of Research and Development to advance innovative approaches to blended, self-paced, mastery-based learning that empower all students to thrive.

Outside of work, Abi loves traveling with her family, cooking at home with her husband, and chasing after their two kids and their golden doodle. Born in London but claiming Edinburgh as her second home, she’s always planning their next adventure.
