Cetera Altepeter (She/Her)
Director of Curriculum Solutions

Cetera Altepeter has dedicated her career to expanding educational opportunity, building effective teams, and supporting teachers and leaders in delivering high-quality instruction for all students. She began her career through Teach For America, teaching in St. Louis Public Schools. Over the past decade, Cetera served as a School Leader and later Vice President of Schools for a public charter network in St. Louis. In these roles, she led teams of educators while strengthening curriculum implementation, coaching systems, and data-informed instructional practices to support strong academic outcomes and joyful school cultures.

At the Modern Classrooms Project, she partners with educators and system leaders to support implementation of the Modern Classrooms model, strengthening instruction through professional learning, coaching, and self-paced, mastery-based classroom design. Cetera holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a master’s degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and both an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) and Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.

Outside of work, Cetera enjoys spending time with her husband, son, dog, and cat in St. Louis, connecting with friends, and traveling to visit family.
